Vincent Beaurin was born in Charleville Mézières (France) in 1960. He lives and works in Paris. 

He studied silversmithing at the École Boulle and painting at the ENSET, in the 1970s, in Paris. In the following decade his painting practice led him to blow paint on canvas. As an artist, the concept of accessibility to the artwork led him to shape, make and produce domestic objects in the 1990s. Since his exhibition “Fragilism”, with the architect, designer and theorist Alessandro Mendini, at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain, in 2002, Vincent Beaurin has informed his practice with powdery materials and visions, with an acute need for levitation and luminosity. Since 2010, his fascination with atmospheric colours has become more visible.

Vincent Beaurin’s work belongs to the collections of the MNAM – Centre Georges Pompidou; of the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain; of the FNAC, Fonds National d’Art Contemporain; of the MUDAM, Museum of Modern Art, Grand-Duc Jean, Luxembourg, amongst others. 

Beaurin has produced several large private and public commissioned works globally, including Quiero (2017), Majorca; Tree of Life (2016) Kuala Lumpur; La nuit des Gobelins (2012-2016) – tapestry for the French national mobilier; Andalus and Constellation (2014), Arch and Couronne (2013), Cheval Blanc Randheli, Noonu atoll, Maldives.
