Valentina D’Amaro was born in Massa in 1966, she lives and works in Milan.
After having graduated in painting from the Brera Academy, she continued to study and experiment with pictorial processes even by copying various paintings from the past. This technical aspect is fundamental for conferring on the works their particular depth and vibration. Already in this period there emerged her interest in what was to become her favourite theme for almost all of her output: landscape.
Over time the works, all untitled, have passed from a more analytical cycle (until 2014) to other series of collateral researches, denominated Switzerland, Vespro, Viridis and England.
In 2016 her work was included in the prestigious book Vitamin P3: New Perspectives in Painting, published by the Phaidon Press.
